BLUEMOON IN MANILA - CNBLUE WORLD TOUR 2013

Kyaaa~~~

The long wait is over!
I finally watched the first ever concert of CNBlue here in Manila, last June 15, 2013..

Oh wait, I want to confess something, actually, I was not a die-hard boice, I only liked Jung YongHwa oppa, since I watched his korean drama- You're Beautiful / He's Beautiful. Since then, I googled infos about him and his co-star HongKi in the drama, and thus discovered CNBlue as indie rock band and HongKi's FT-Island band..

As I watched and listened to their song via youtube.. I readily downloaded it, and it was been "LSS" in my mind till now.. Omo! ~~ Oetoriya... oetoriya... Dara diri dara du...:))

I really really love Jung YongHwa soooooo bad, I can say that he's my first crush in korean fandom ever!

Moving on, I was browsing through K-Pop network here in Philippines, that I found out that they will be having a concert here this June! My birth month. ^^

I saw Ms. Happee Sy's post and they will be having an open press conference in SM Megamall dated June 14, a day before the concert.

CNBlue Open Press Conference in SM Megamall

After work, I rushed from Sucat to Ortigas (MRT) to attend the event, I was really, REALLY surprised to see how many people als rushed to Mega just to see CNBlue, (sa pagkaka-alam ko nga kasi di pa naman sila masyadong kilala) pero mali ang akala ko.

The event was held on lower ground floor but I think until 4th floor is full with awesome boices that want to give a warm welcome to CNBlue,

I was just a bum beside the stage near food court.

Korean Drama: MY GIRLFRIEND IS A GUMIHO

The cowardly Dae Woong (Lee Sung-Gi) accidentally frees a gumiho (Shin Min-Ah), a legendary nine-tailed fox from Korean mythology.  When he finds out that she is a gumiho, he ends up doing crazy things to prevent the girl from eating his liver. As he runs away terrified, he suffers a life-threatening fall but the grateful monster spares his life by giving him its power-giving “fox bead.”

Taking the form of a beautiful woman, “Mi Ho” forces the frightened Dae Woong to help her become a real human. But as the two begin to develop feelings for each other, can Mi Ho let Dae Woong make the necessary sacrifices for her to become human?

Title: 내 여자친구는 구미호 / Nae Yeojachinguneun Gumiho
Also known as: My Girlfriend is a Gumiho
Genre: Romance, comedy, fantasy
Episodes: 16

It's has no perfect ending I really enjoyed every scene of it. I laughed, nervous and even cried on this! How can you not resist over Lee Seung Ki's adorable dimples? And I also love a fairy-tale like love stories.

Reasons WHY to Watch:

  • Mi Ho loved beef so much, the fact that Mi Ho had to have so much beef was a constant source of comedy. Mi Ho said, “If you buy me a cow, I won’t eat you.” As Mi Ho moves past depending on Dae Woong, she attempts to buy her own meal by saving chicken coupons and eggs, and even start to eat vegtables. It was super cute.

  • Romance Between Director and Dae Woong’s Aunt: Anytime a man pretends not to smell your fart in the elevator, and even bring himself in shame just to save you, that is love. Second was the aunt was choked by ice in her coffee where the director saved her.. Another hilarious moment came when the Aunt said that she liked the smell of his muscle relaxer patches. Therefore, before their first date, the director put a whole bunch of patches all over his body, so that she could enjoy the aroma. And, that UDON thing! uuudon!

  • Since Mi Ho has not been out in 500 years, her learning about the world is a source of comedic relief. Some highlights are when Mi Ho is amazed by bubbly soda, Mi Ho buys a poster with a picture of a camcorder instead of the actual camcorder for Dae Woong, and when Mi Ho becomes a bouncer/ best friend to chicken ahjumma. In addition, Mi Ho has a great calendar of things to do after she becomes human. On day 1, Mi Ho wishes to mate with Dae Woong. On day 100, Mi Ho wishes to marry Dae Woong. After year 1, she wishes to have a baby with Dae Woong. Mi Ho’s goal is to have 8 babies with Dae Woong! HAHAH.

  • After the Director saw Mi Ho one night, he follows her into the woods and his dream is realized. The Director witnesses Mi Ho do moves that can only be attempted by the cast of Cirque Du Soleil. There are several episodes where he sees her and tries to catch her and the storyline turns into a cat and mouse game. The segment ends when he discovers that Mi Ho is his action star, and later the storyline fizzles out when Mi Ho gives up her starring role for because she is blackmailed by Hae In.

More Highlights

  • Drumstick stuffed animal
  • Chicken ahjumma, great side character
  • Shin Min Ah is adorable, how can he not keep that nine-tailed fox around.
  • Director open’s his trench coat to block the sun, but seriously why is he only wearing a wife beater under there?
  • Chicken coupons
  • Beef... Beef... Beef....

~ Pretty inspired by The Little Mermaid storybook.

Korean drama: LOVE RAIN

I can't think any reason why this series was not a hit in Korea. Are there any issues on this film? Honestly, NONE.

LOVE RAIN is a very nice tv series. All the actors had portrayed their roles well. I really enjoyed the fantastic and awesome scenarios as if you were in that place, like in 70s or 80s era.

All the soundtracks being played that made me fell in love with this. (infernes, ringtone ko ang Pyururong) Jang Geung Suk was so pretty cool in here and the sweet chemistry with him and Yoona kept me wanting to watch it all the way.

At first and the reason why I want to watch this is that, I REALLY want to see Yoona act. I am a fan so SNSD/Girls Generation and things that I can tag to Yoona is being a singer, dancer, mascot, model.. but to act? Naaahh..  BUT I was suprised how well she can act!

So I've realized that it's not the low ratings that counts but how this drama made each of my day right. I'm glad that this going to be aired soon in Philippines. It's a must drama to watch. Be ready to be swept off your feet! Be ready for tissues, downloaders (OSTs), and laughters all the waaaaaay!

Oh, here's the storyline....

Sarangbi.

The experience was nostalgic. It reminded me the reason why I love watching Asian dramas, on how to do twists in a story line..

“Love Rain” depicts a 1970′s pure love and a love from the present day at the same time. It shows how the offspring of a previous ill-fated couple, who met in the 1970′s, managed to meet and fall in love.

On a rainy day, In-Ha (JGS)  sees Yoon-Hee (Yoona) standing in front of building without an umbrella. In-Ha offers to walk her with his umbrella. As they walk together they feel a bond. A date is set to meet the following Sunday to watch the movie "Love Story" an American film.

In-ha an art student and Yoon-Hee a shy beauty, met and fell in love with each other during college in the 1970′s but unfortunately their love was ill-fated. :(

Now in the present 2012 time, Seo In Ha’s son, Seo Joon (Jang Geun Suk) (a liberal photographer) meets and falls in love with Kim Yoon Hee’s daughter, Kim Ha Na (Yoona), a cheerful and energetic girl who’s personality is different from her mother’s. Will their love for each other keep them together or will they have to face the same fate as their parents?! THEN YOU MUST WATCH! :))

The first few episodes are really slow and dragging. Moreover, it’s hard to make viewers appreciate it because the target audiences of K-dramas today are mostly teens and young adult. I even had difficulty connecting with the characters in the 1970’s because I’m not familiar with Korea’s culture during that period. What I appreciate in this era was its cinematography. I may not know what Korea is in the 70′s but I have a feeling they captured the actuality of this time.

The 2012 plot has the typical formula in K-drama now a days. It was only different because of the family issue they incorporated in the story.  Seo Joon and Han Na’s relationship was light and funny but it gets dramatic later in the series when their family’s connection were discovered. On the other hand, the love between In Ha and Yoon Hee was poignant and selfless. A love that great deserves a happy ending. But then, there are circumstances that one cannot disregard especially if it’s the happiness of the people you loved the most.

I was impressed with how well JGS and Yoona played their two roles. They were able to show the difference in the characters and set it apart. You can easily pin point who’s from who without tracing any similarities in their attitudes or mannerisms in their acting.

I like the Geun Suk-YoonA tandem. They look cute together. Perfect.

"Love means never having to say you're SORRY." ~ my favorite quote from here. This is a broad saying that anyone can have its own interpretation.

Maybe at the first episode it doesn't attract.. but if you continue watching up to 5th-up episodes you’ll surely love this!

Watching the Diamond Snow together in Japan and Second watching the mist in the river which both promises a happy love story for a couple like them :)  (Just cute!)
