NEW YEAR 2013

“Cheers to a new year and another

chance for us to get it right,"

                       -Oprah

YES. This year is the chance for us to "get it right." to start a new, with a positive attitude and open our arms and hearts to the possibilities of new beginnings.

I don't encourage any kind of fire crackers.  A nice view of sparkling lights from above makes me so happy. And, I only celebrated New Year only with my mom. My brother was in the province together with his family, while my father was in abroad working.

Instead, we chose to do Filipino tradition in celebrating New Year's eve.

IT'S 12:00 AM!!!

Here’s what a Pinoy to-do list on New Year’s Eve would probably look like:

  • WEARING POLKA DOTS / LUCKY COLOR SHIRTS
Anything round signifies prosperity.
Lucky color - anything in the shade of
BLUE to gain the positive
energy of water snake.
  • ROUND FRUITS
Prepare 12 round fruits, one for each month of the coming new year.

  • MEDIA NOCHE
Eat long noodles (spaghetti) for long life. Sticky foods should also be served.  Eating sticky food such as Leche Flan, symbolizes a family that will stick together.
Finish all with sweets! For a sweet relationship among your families!
  • NOISE / FIRE CRACKERS

My cuteeyy Torotot!
  • WATER SNAKE
Every year, we had this chinese signs (water snake in jade) for prosperity. We are not chinese but my mom is fond of collecting this stuffs.
  • DRINKS
Party is incomplete without shots!

Flavorful!

Only a quarter left

Why Celebrate New Year?

New Year celebrations focus on family and friends. It is a time to reflect on the past and welcome the new year with hope.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

P.S ~~~~~~

Say Hi to my bed......

Polky Dotty.

This is the new year the new YOU. You can pass through another year, or you can step out of your comfort zone, trying things you have never done before, & make 2013 the year that you elevate from where you are & soar high. Make it happen!! :)
