Watsons National Sales Convention 2013 - Day 2

Day two of NASCON was to be expected as physically fun, that we wore a sando shirt with 24/7 more love at Wastsons print! :)

Of course, I wore white undershirt! Im sooo shy to expose my dark armpit! hohoho!

Day two started with a talk with the famous Chinkee Tan... Talking about positivity and how to set a goal and achieve at its BEST!

He is one of the best speakers I've met... All the time he gained all our attention without being sleepy and bored. And, the session ended with a lots of insights and lessons to push through in our daily work..

And the rest of the day was incredibly fun! There are lots of booths from the company's sponsors / suppliers that made the event a great one! Freebies, Games, Activities, Contest, Services were done in different stations..

We were given a map where we should gain 15 stamps and a corresponding gift after!

Watsons National Sales Convention 2013 - Day 1

The annual sales convention was held last March 05-06 at Le Pavillion Metropolitan Park in Pasay..

I arrived there around 11:30am , which in fact I drove to a wrong way... the cab took me all the way to Pavillion in U.N Manila.. and back to Pasay.. ugggh. Such a failure!

After registration, they handed me down this stuffs.

Yes, it is almost lunch time, buffet was served by M Catering group...

I forgot what's on the dish! But it's good. :)

With almost half-a-day session, we had our own learning and new key concepts to face another challenging year in our retail..

Yes, we need coffee break! 

The day one ends right and day two will be expected to be more exciting and fun!!

Dinner at Sizzlin Pepper Steak

This is my first time to dine at Sizzlin Pepper Steak located at Festival Mall Alabang.

Me and my bff Tricia, were bumming around the mall, till we decided to eat our dinner first, and then we agreed to try a restaurant that we were still not able to dine at...

We looked up on our directory, and thus we selected Sizzlin Pepper Steak..

Upon seeing the place, my first impression was "wow, so cute! I like beef, I love the cow logo". Maybe because of the fancy drawing of their logo and fonts, or maybe how the restaurant looks like in the inside.

All tables in the restaurant were equipped with smoke filters that the smoke will be exhausted created from the sizzling plate.

Yes, I'm DAMN hungry!

Sizzlin Pepper Steak has this thing called Moo-Flips,  I find them really convenient since I really dislike waving my hands to get a waiters attention. Its amazing that a waiter would attend to you really quickly when you flip your Moo-Flip to Moo-ve :)

 The beef pepper rice was the first dish I ordered in sizzlin pepper steak.

You can select between teriyaki sauce and plain gravy, I chose teriyaki sauce inspite that I'm doubt that I might dislike it coz I don't like sweet sauces on foods. As the order arrive on your table, you have to pour the sauce on your plate right away while the sizzling plate is still hot. Then, you have to mix the beef and the rice together. Suprisingly, I loved the teriyaki sauce! It is not too sweet!

Over-all the taste of the food is 4/5 if you like fried food and pepper. Me? I DO!

I just hate the beefy smell stuck up in my hands.. even tough I washed already...

Incredibly delicious - Tasty Tucker

One branch of Tasty Tucker is located in SM Hypermarket Sucat East Service Road, the same place which I worked for.

HMR and Hypermarket in this branch was so peaceful that it has minimal customers, and it doesn't have much fastfood chains or resturants, but only Rotisserie, HenLin and Tasty Tucker.

Tasty Tucker has an interesting mix of filipino rice meals, korean and european food. They have pastas, pizza, sandwiches, salads, frappes, ice cream, gelato, cheese cakes, and at the same time, affordable filipino rice meals such as lumpia, beefsteak, pinakbet and pansit!

During our lunch break, we tried to have lunch to Tasty just to satisfy ourselves, with all the stress and all due to work. Although its kinda expensive, we know its all worth it.

The dish we tried are pastas! - our comfort food. When eating in restaurants which I'm not familiar with, I always order my comfort food first.

This pasta tastes soooooo good, with matching italian yummy bread! One thing that I can say in cons was that the sauce... its sooo soooo sour due to pure tomato sauce on it. but I can rate this pasta 7/10 to its awesomeness...

For our second time, I ordered Pasta - Bolognese , for just a try..

And I'm really lovin this! yummmmm!!

I like how ground beef was cooked and mixed with this sauce, and topped with parmesan cheese..

Yes, you can never go wrong with chocolate. Mildly sweet and pleasantly fragrant, there's no "umay" thing that leading cake brands had. Turning chocolate into a cake, however, makes all the difference.

Overall, I think it's an interesting foodie find. you don't expect such yummy dishes and desserts in this area, but it's quite good. I can rate this 8/10. :)

One More Try - Movie Review

One More Try is Star Cinema’s solely produced film in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival. The genre is heavy romance / drama.

One More Try is starred Angel Locsin, Angelica Panganiban, Dingdong Dantes, and Zanjoe Marudo.  Ruel S. Bayani, who directed this emotion packed film, was also the director of last year's box office hit, No Other Woman.

The story was about the lives of two couples who love each other deeply, a mother who will do everything for her dying child, a husband/father who is longing to be with his son and who dreams about having his child, a wife who will fight for her husband and a lover who will wait for his love. 

ADMIT ONE ---  I watched this movie with my High School friends.. :)

Their married life was merely perfect for Edward and Jacq (Dingdong Dantes and Angelica Panganiban) until Grace (Angel Locsin) came into the scene. Grace was Edward's ex-girlfriend. Grace needed the help of Edward to save their dying child - Botchok. The kid needs a bone marrow transplant to cure his serious illness. They did everything they could (in vitro, searching for possible donors, even his father (Edward) tissue-typing match) but they failed which led them to the last option possible. Grace and Edward needed to have another child in order to save the life of Botchok. You can never imagine how Jacq and Tristan (Zanjoe Marudo) will react on this situation. Akward, indeed. There are twists in the story which made it up a happy ending. But for me, the ending was so unrealistic. See, for what happened, they just forgave each other and even gathered together for a celebration, which I think its really impossible in reality.


One More Try is okay. It’s half a good movie.

There are things to like about it for sure: good performances, maybe good writing, some ideas about love & parenthood.

I just wish that it had been brave enough to explore darker possibilities, and had the guts to try and be realistic, try and say something true.

~ To sum it up! I am giving 8 out of 10 for this movie, though I'm not satisfied with the ending, its still a worth watch.
