I am a fresh college graduate and I am called for a job interview.
I had a booklet from JobsDB.com and there are tips on how to have a successful interview.
I want to share its contents..
First, THE KILLER RESUME.
These two-paged paper are important to contain:
- Contact information
- The skills that you have
- The experience that you’ve build up
- The education that equipped you for your line of work
You must put information that is only relevant to your application.
You can include skills, experiences, seminars, accomplishments, awards, promotions, organizations
Personal information such as weight, height, occupation of parents or hobbies may be excluded.
Next, THE JOB INTERVIEW
Job interview is the climax of Job seeking process. Through this, employers decide whether they will hire you or not.
TIPS TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL INTERVIEW.
1. Don’t be late. Arrive 15 minutes before the interview ( Yeay!! I’m 30 minutes earlier then)
2. Be in business attire. Look fresh, act smart and appear professional.
3. present yourself as an effective and excellent employee. Stay confident
4.Have a rapport to the employer. Act professional, but in a friendly way
5. Give precise and smart answers, long speeches are not good
6.Do not focus on salary terms (I know its important but you shouldn’t!)
7. Impress the interviewer and have his/her mind set that you are really interested in the job.
